Supplies tracks the stock in the front closet, the draw station, imaging and the exam rooms. Each item has a count, a par level and, where it applies, an expiry date.
What it does
Here is what it does.
Who it is for: For the medical assistant or office manager who keeps the rooms stocked.
- Keeps gloves, butterfly sets, rapid strep kits, urine cups, gauze, alcohol prep pads and probe covers by room.
- Takes stock out or adds it back when you say "use 2 gloves" or "receive 10 cups."
- Says when an item drops under par.
- Refuses to use an item past its expiry date and tells you to pull it.
- Answers "what’s expiring" with every item at or past its date.
How it works
- Say "use 1 strep."
- If the kits expired on 4 October, she says to pull them, and the count does not change.
- Say "what’s expiring" to see the full list.
