STINGER PRACTICE
Day book
The day book records the money side of the day in two lines: insurance and operating. It sits beside the claims, so a payment can be posted straight from a paid claim.
What it does
Here is what it does.
Who it is for: For the office manager or bookkeeper who closes the day.
- Posts a payment to the insurance line from a claim that is already paid, for exactly the paid amount.
- Refuses to post the same claim twice.
- Records a deposit on the operating line for the dollars you name, in whole dollars or dollars and cents.
- Labels every line with where it came from: "copied from the paid claim" or "a deposit a person named."
- Totals charges, payer payments, patient balances and denials for the day.
How it works
- The payer pays Elena’s claim.
- Say "post Elena to the book." The paid amount is on the insurance line.
- Say "deposit 400." $400 is on the operating line.
The connection
Bank
- What it connects
- The day book to a bank feed.
- What moves
- Nothing today.
- What you do
- Name each deposit.
- What happens on its own
- Copying a paid claim’s amount.
- What it needs
- Optional. Your team connects a bank later if you want one.
Sign-in
One sign-in.
Staff use the same Stinger sign-in as Command Center. Signing in opens that person’s Firm portal, Practice, or House.
