Herman is a research and skills specialist that Annabelle calls on. He helps with research, skill-based tasks and verification while Annabelle remains your point of contact. He is available in Command Center and rolling out to every account now.
Where it stands

Herman is a real, working app. Command Center now gives Annabelle his tools, so she can call on him and bring his answer back to you. Accounts are being switched on now. You do not need to do anything: when your account is on, she simply uses him.
What he is for
Research, skill-based tasks, and verification.
Herman is never customer-facing. He is Annabelle's own specialist: she stays the one you talk to, and he works behind her, checking a fact, running a web search, or verifying something before she answers you. He reports back to her, not to you.
Money and outbound work
Nothing he does skips your approval.
Herman does not send an email, a text, a payment, or a post. If a task he is given would need one of those, he hands back a draft, and it goes through the same approval Annabelle already asks you for before anything goes out. He can propose; only you approve.

Herman himself has a wider workspace with chat, a skills library, memory notes and settings. Some of it now reaches Annabelle in Command Center, listed below. The rest stays his own working space.

Ask who Herman is and she gives you a plain summary: what he does, his skills, and what he does not do yet.
Skills
Three built in: invoice chase, month-end prep and a new-customer welcome. Save your own named version of one; that waits for your yes.
Memory
Short notes for your company, such as "invoices are net-15". Saving or removing a note waits for your yes. Never a password or key.
Past runs and drafts
Search what he did before, and see his drafts waiting in your approval queue. Nothing there is sent.
Documents
A read-only list of your saved documents: title, type and id. Another company's notes, runs and documents never show.
Herman's own studio
A separate surface, his own: profiles, skills and a workspace.
Beyond what Annabelle can ask him for, Herman has his own studio where you work with him directly.
Profiles and conversations
In his own studio, Herman keeps separate profiles and conversations with instructions you can edit.
A skill library
Herman has a skill library you can read, edit and pin; the supplied skills are guidance, not proof a procedure ran.
A learning loop
Herman can turn a conversation into a proposed skill that you accept or reject before it joins the library.
Working files per profile
Herman keeps working files for each profile that you can read, edit and export.
Memory, with a secret check
Herman keeps memory notes, refuses ones that look like secrets, and can search earlier sessions.
A to-do list
Herman keeps a short to-do list with done marks.
Group rooms
Put several Herman profiles in one room to talk a problem through and flag when they need you.

When the sandbox is on, Herman can run Python or JavaScript.
Images and speech
Herman can make images, describe an image and speak text, when a provider is connected.
X search and Home Assistant
With a connection, Herman can search X and send requests to a Home Assistant.
Desktop assistance
With the desktop helper, Herman can take a screenshot, open a file path and send a notification.
Scheduling, delegation and reporting
Scheduled jobs
Herman can run jobs on a schedule; they run while the tab is closed only when the server scheduler is on.
Delegation to helper tasks
Herman can hand parts of a task to helper tasks, steer them and stop them without losing their partial work.
A report to Annabelle
Herman reports what changed, what he verified and what remains; without a connection, the report says it was not posted.
Business skills
Drafts that wait for your approval
Herman can draft invoice reminders, prepare month-end from figures you give him and draft a new-customer welcome; anything that goes out waits for your approval.
Signed run and status checks
The three business skills can be started and checked through signed requests; results are not kept across a restart.
