Intake and conflict hold
Intake is the first step for every new matter. You give the person’s name and the matter. Annabelle checks the names already on the desk. If one might be the same person, the matter is held for a decision.
What it does
Here is what it does.
Who it is for: For whoever opens new matters at the front desk.
- Records a new person and a matter title, exactly as typed.
- Compares the new name with every name on the desk.
- Holds the matter if a name may be the same person (for example Kit Mercer and Kit Mercier).
- Lets a person mark the two as the same person or as different people.
- Starts every new matter with an unsigned engagement, so it is not open yet.
How it works
- Tell Annabelle to take in Eden Moss for the matter "Fence line."
- If "Eden M. Moss" is already on the desk, she says it might be the same person and holds the matter.
- You say "same" or "distinct."
- The matter moves on to the engagement step.
Sign-in
One sign-in.
Staff use the same Stinger sign-in as Command Center. Signing in opens that person’s Firm portal, Practice, or House.
