Medspa / Aesthetics

What the platform does for a medspa: it keeps the consult, the good-faith exam, and the treatment plan on the record before a treatment happens.

Medspa / Aesthetics has its own configuration.

Stinger is one system, not a different product per trade. What changes is the configuration it runs on: the words on the screen, the columns on the board, the stages a job moves through, and the rules that decide what comes first. This is the Med spa configuration, as it ships.

The words on the screen

A piece of work is called
Appointment
An incoming call is called
Inquiry call
The board is called
Treatment board

Job types: Consultation, Treatment, Touch-up, Package.

The columns on your board

  • Inquiry
  • Consult booked
  • Treatment plan
  • Scheduled
  • Completed

An incoming caller is a prospective client.

The stages a job moves through

  1. Inquiry
  2. Consult booked
  3. Treatment plan
  4. Approved
  5. Scheduled
  6. Completed
  7. Paid

The rules that decide what comes first

  • Consultation required before the first treatment
  • Medical intake form completed before any procedure
  • Licensed injector performs all injectables

The price list it starts with

Consultation
Free
Botox per unit
$12
Filler syringe
$650
Package
Quoted

These are example figures, not our prices. They are what the configuration ships with so the screens are not empty on day one. You set your own.

Questions she is set up to answer

  • Is the consultation free?
  • Who performs the treatments?
  • What's your cancellation policy?

Vocabulary is consult, treatment plan, and intake; a licensed injector performs every procedure.

How you get it: tell us your trade and we set the configuration up with you during onboarding. See every trade's setup questions side by side.

Config-backed, and the most license-heavy of the trades: the classes here are the medical, nursing, and clinic roles that make a treatment lawful. All are graded standard with citations.

Florida licensing classes

Physician (MD or DO)

Injectables and medical-grade lasers are the practice of medicine; a non-physician performs one only by lawful delegation.

Fla. Stat. Ch. 458; Ch. 459; 458.331(1)(w)

Registered nurse

May administer medications and treatments as prescribed; the authority to inject is derivative of a physician’s order.

Fla. Stat. 464.003(19)

Advanced practice registered nurse

A non-autonomous APRN practises under a written physician protocol, which is the governing document.

Fla. Stat. 464.012; 464.0123(3)

Medical director under the Health Care Clinic Act

An entity billing for health care services generally needs an AHCA clinic license and a medical director.

Fla. Stat. 400.990-400.995

The dashboard layout is shared across every trade. The build stages, job types, permits, and compliance rules below are generated from this trade's own config pack, so they are specific to Medspa / Aesthetics.

Job types

Consultation service

The consult and good-faith exam that opens the relationship. Usually free, which puts it inside the free-and-discounted-service advertising statute the moment it is advertised.

Neuromodulator treatment service

Botulinum toxin relaxes muscles to soften dynamic lines - glabella, forehead, crow's feet - dosed in units. Effect onset runs over days and duration over months, so the business model is a recurring appointment.

Dermal filler service

Predominantly hyaluronic acid, adding volume to lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds and jawline, dosed in syringes. Longer-lasting, higher-consequence, and the source of the trade's worst adverse events.

Laser hair removal service

Multi-session, with the technology matched to skin type. The one energy modality Florida regulates by a specific rule, through the electrolysis rules of the Board of Medicine.

Energy device treatment service

Ablative and non-ablative resurfacing, IPL for pigment and vascular lesions, radiofrequency microneedling, body contouring and tattoo removal. These are not governed by the hair-removal rule and their treatment as delegable medical acts is a separate analysis.

Skin treatment service

Chemical peels across a depth spectrum from superficial to medical, microneedling, medical-grade facials and medical-grade topicals. The depth of the peel is what moves it across the cosmetology boundary.

Permits

Permit triggers from the pack. The pack does not name the local permit or its filing window on purpose, so this page does not either. The building department confirms those.

  • An entity providing health care services and tendering charges for reimbursement, where no statutory exemption applies

Permit required · AHCA health care clinic licence, with a medical director holding a full unencumbered licence · Fla. Stat. 400.990-400.995; Fla. Stat. 400.9905(4)

Compliance rules

Obligations that fire on a job, from this trade's pack. Items marked as an open question were not fully settled by the research and should be confirmed, not asserted.

  • The delegation chain state

Fla. Stat. Ch. 458; Fla. Stat. Ch. 459; Fla. Stat. 458.331(1)(w)

  • An RN's authority to inject is derivative state

Open question The Board of Nursing addressed RN cosmetic injectables by declaratory statement rather than by rule, and under Florida's Administrative Procedure Act a declaratory statement resolves how the law applies to the petitioner's particular circumstances - it binds the petitioner, not the profession. Saying that the Board approved RNs injecting is a false generalisation of a narrow ruling. The exact wording of those statements, including the precise definition of direct supervision and whether an APRN may stand in as the delegating supervisor, is withheld: the statements themselves were not obtained. Defer to the practice's own Florida healthcare counsel, who must read the declaratory statements.

    Fla. Stat. 464.003(19)

  • Autonomous APRN practice does not cover aesthetics state

Open question Whether a given injectable or energy-device treatment falls inside a particular APRN's protocol is a practice-specific question and is withheld. Defer to the practice's own Florida healthcare counsel.

Fla. Stat. 464.0123(3); Fla. Stat. 464.012

  • Laser hair removal supervision and protocols state

Open question This rule is written around hair removal. Whether its supervision framework extends to ablative and non-ablative resurfacing, IPL for pigment, tattoo removal, radiofrequency microneedling or body contouring is withheld, and it must not be extended to them. Defer to the practice's own Florida healthcare counsel.

Fla. Admin. Code R. 64B8-56.002; Florida DOH laser and electrolysis page

  • The aesthetic-rather-than-medical boundary state

    Fla. Stat. 477.013

  • Fee splitting state

Open question How manufacturer loyalty and rebate programs interact with this analysis and with the Patient Brokering Act is withheld. Defer to a Florida healthcare attorney.

    Fla. Stat. 458.331(1)(i)

  • Patient Brokering Act state

    Fla. Stat. 817.505

  • Florida physician advertising rule state

  • The Board of Medicine advertising rule is silent on testimonials and before-and-afters state

Open question Only the Board of Medicine's advertising rule was surveyed. Other chapters of the same title, and the nursing, osteopathic and dentistry rules, were not, and other Florida boards do regulate testimonials for their own licensees. Finding no such provision in one rule is not the same as there being none anywhere in Florida law. Defer to a Florida healthcare attorney.

Fla. Admin. Code R. 64B8-11.001, verified absence read 26 August 2026

  • Free and discounted service offers state

Open question Whether a particular offer triggers the statute, and how the disclosure must render inside a short caption or a fifteen-second video, is a question for counsel. Defer to a Florida healthcare attorney.

    Fla. Stat. 456.062

  • Testimonials reporting atypical results federal

  • Botulinum toxin products are prescription drugs federal

Open question Exactly how much of the FDA's prescription-drug promotional apparatus attaches to an individual clinic's post about a branded product, as opposed to the manufacturer's own advertising, is withheld. The line between a practice promoting its services and promoting a branded prescription drug is real, contested and fact-specific. Defer to counsel, before running any brand-name promotion.
