Concrete
What the platform does for a concrete crew: it holds the pour sequence, the batch ticket, and the inspection gates on one job.
What it does for you
- Runs a flatwork pour or a slab on grade through its real phases, from grade and base to cure and strip.
- Keeps the batch ticket details that actually matter on the record: mix design, specified strength, slump, water added on site.
- Marks the underground and structural inspection points a pour cannot pass without.
- Attaches pour-day photos and cylinder-break records to the job.
Your Command Center, in your words
Concrete has its own configuration.
Stinger is one system, not a different product per trade. What changes is the configuration it runs on: the words on the screen, the columns on the board, the stages a job moves through, and the rules that decide what comes first. This is the Concrete & masonry configuration, as it ships.
The words on the screen
- A piece of work is called
- Job
- An incoming call is called
- Estimate request
- The board is called
- Job board
Job types: Site visit, Pour, Patch repair, Sealing.
The columns on your board
- Site visit
- Quoted
- Scheduled
- Poured
- Cured
An incoming caller is a homeowner.
The stages a job moves through
- Captured
- Site visit
- Quoted
- Deposit
- Scheduled
- Poured
- Paid
The rules that decide what comes first
- Pours are weather-contingent and reschedule on rain
- Permits pulled before any structural work
- 50% deposit before material order
The price list it starts with
- Estimate
- Free
- Driveway repair
- Estimate
- New pour
- Estimate
- Sealing
- $0.75/sqft
These are example figures, not our prices. They are what the configuration ships with so the screens are not empty on day one. You set your own.
Questions she is set up to answer
- How long does concrete need to cure?
- Do you handle permits?
- What is the deposit?
Vocabulary is pour, cure, and permit; pours reschedule on rain, never on a guess.
How you get it: tell us your trade and we set the configuration up with you during onboarding. See every trade's setup questions side by side.
How it differs
Config-backed. The state specialty and general-contractor paths are carried with citations. A local specialty license exists in many jurisdictions but is graded convention, so it is named as a possibility, not a rule.
Florida licensing classes
Structural masonry specialty contractor
A board-created specialty certified to form, place, finish, reinforce, and pour concrete and masonry, including foundations, slabs, footers, walls, columns, and beams.
Fla. Admin. Code R. 61G4-15.015
General, building or residential contractor
Concrete sits within their scope, so one of these licensees may self-perform it without a separate concrete credential.
Fla. Stat. 489.105(3) (2025)
The dashboard layout is shared across every trade. The build stages, job types, permits, and compliance rules below are generated from this trade's own config pack, so they are specific to Concrete.

Job types
Driveway / apron build
Tear-out, grade, base compaction, form, reinforce with mesh or rebar, pour, finish, joint, cure, strip. The most common residential job and the one with the most curb-appeal risk.
Slab on grade / house pad build
Site prep, fill and compaction, termite treatment, vapor retarder, reinforcement, plumbing and electrical sleeves, form, pour, finish. Coordinated with the plumber and pest control, because the pour cannot happen until the underground is inspected.
Footings / stem wall / monolithic build
Florida residential is heavily monolithic-slab ('mono pour') or stem wall depending on grade and flood elevation.
Tie beam / lintel / columns build
The structural concrete in a Florida CMU house - grout-filled cells and a poured tie beam at the top of wall. This is where wind uplift resistance actually lives.
Flatwork: patios, walkways, pool decks build
Patios, walkways and pool decks. Pool deck slope and coping detailing are owned by vault/knowledge/pool-construction-codes.md and not restated here.
Decorative build
Stamped, broom, exposed aggregate, acid stain, integral colour, overlay, polished. Colour matching across pours is the recurring complaint.
Tilt-up / structural commercial build
Panel casting, lifting, bracing, welding embeds. A different business with a different insurance profile, and the place where the threshold-building special-inspection regime is most likely to apply.
Repair / restoration build
Spall repair, chloride-driven rebar corrosion, epoxy injection, slab jacking and polyjacking. Coastal Florida generates a lot of this and it is high-margin.
Demolition and removal build
Often the majority of the labour on a replacement driveway.
Permits
Permit triggers from the pack. The pack does not name the local permit or its filing window on purpose, so this page does not either. The building department confirms those.
-
Work on a threshold building - any building greater than three stories or 50 feet in height, or with an assembly occupancy classification exceeding 5,000 square feet in area and an occupant content of greater than 500 persons
-
Taking more than 10 percent of the contract price as a deposit on residential real property
-
A slab on grade with underground plumbing and electrical beneath it
Compliance rules
Obligations that fire on a job, from this trade's pack. Items marked as an open question were not fully settled by the research and should be confirmed, not asserted.

The 8th Edition clock runs out at the end of 2026 state
Open question The permit-grandfathering mechanics at the changeover are unresolved in vault/trades/roofing.md section 0 and are not settled here either. Do not tell a contractor which edition their pending permit falls under. Defer to the local building department and the Florida Building Commission.

There is no single statewide answer to 'is this concrete contractor licensed?' statederived from the sequence the research states
Open question Which counties and municipalities issue a local concrete, flatwork or paving specialty licence, and what each calls it, was not researched - it is precisely the county-specific class the rail forbids asserting. Defer to DBPR's licence search and the local building department.

Minimum thickness and vapor retarder for a floor slab on ground state
Open question Slab thickness for anything other than a floor slab on ground - driveways, approaches, and anything carrying vehicles - is design and local-standard driven and is not stated anywhere in this config. Defer to the engineer of record and the local standard.
FBC 8th Ed. (2023) Building Section 1907.1
-
Special inspections work differently in Florida than in the IBC state
Open question The 'RESERVED' status of the FBC section that would otherwise carry the IBC scheme was read through a third-party code mirror rather than a Florida Building Commission publication. It matches Florida's known threshold-building structure, but confirm against the code text before relying on it in a filing. Defer to the Florida Building Commission and the enforcing agency.

Coastal chloride exposure is engineer-of-record territory state
Open question The specific exposure-class letters, water-cementitious limits, minimum strengths and cover dimensions for a given Florida coastal condition were not retrieved. Never state a cover dimension or a water-cementitious ratio. Defer to the engineer of record.

The cure standards can be named; their numbers may not be quoted industry
Open question The standards themselves were not retrieved, and they differ from each other and from the project specification. Every cure number in circulation is convention until an engineer's spec says otherwise. Defer to the engineer of record and the project specification.

Whether the roofing insurance-advertising statute reaches concrete is open state
Open question The exact reach of the statute's contractor prohibitions to a non-roofing contractor working an insured property loss. The subsections are phrased in terms of 'a contractor' and repairs 'covered by a property insurance policy', and the section sits in general Chapter 489, but no authority was found either way. Defer to counsel.

The screens
The screens above are the shared dashboard the app renders for every trade. The service, build, and command screens are the same across trades. What changes for this trade is the licensing, compliance, stage sequence, and vocabulary on this page, not the screen layout.
Where it stands today
Config-backed for licensing, stages, and vocabulary. Concrete runs on the shared build screens.
